Sorry I'm late in posting.
We worked on partnering and I encouraged them to incorporate partner work in their compositions.
We did the log roll where they surfed on top of each other.
Then we experienced releasing our weight into a partner while they were sturdy on all fours.
We then learned how to counter balance with a partner, lower one to the ground, have them spin on their backs and then counterbalance back up.
We also did suspended jumps with a partner lifting at the waist. Called it playing "bouncy ball" with their partner.
Finally we learned the side by side under-curve, suspend lift. (I'll show you if you don't know what I'm talking about).
I then gave them five minutes to make a phrase out of all the things we worked on and any other partnering they wanted to do. They had a lot of fun making a phrase and then we split into two groups and performed. They had some great observations both as participants and observers. So we should expect to see some partnering in their comp studies.
